NC’s March class-overhaul update names Shadowstep as a new Stigma skill for Assassin. The announcement does not publish a class tier ranking or a full skill guide.
Assassin or Ranger: where do you want to fight?
Start with this class if…
Consider Assassin when approaching a target and committing to close-range attacks is the part of combat you enjoy. In the showcase, follow how the character enters and leaves reach. A short clip cannot establish stealth uptime or a guaranteed escape.
Compare the alternative
Ranger is the useful contrast if maintaining distance appeals more than closing the gap. Compare the two showcases for positioning decisions, not just attack speed. Neither clip proves which class is easier in every encounter.
