NC’s March class-overhaul update names Battlefield Banner as a new Stigma skill for Templar. The announcement does not publish a class tier ranking or a full skill guide.
Protection or melee offense?
Start with this class if…
Templar’s shield-bearing identity makes protecting allies the starting point for your choice. Ask whether you enjoy watching the party’s position as well as your own target. The official presentation does not establish that every group requires a Templar.
Compare the alternative
Compare Gladiator for greatsword-led melee, or Brawler for Gauntlet combinations and its Rage loop. Choose the responsibility you want first; armor and a front-line position alone do not make all three classes equivalent protectors.
