AION 2 Chanter
A mantra user who changes the flow of battle.

Content updated:
Chanter healing, shields and buff overlap
Chanter is not limited to passive buffs: its Korean skill guide includes party healing with a cleanse, protective shields and attacks with activation conditions. Those mechanics give a more useful comparison with Cleric than a blanket claim that either class is always better.
Source: official Chanter skill guide, updated 2 September 2026; checked 10 September 2026. This describes the Korean service, not a guaranteed Global build. English explanations are editorial translations of the named Korean entries.
Can Chanter heal and protect the party?
- 쾌유의 주문 — recovery and cleanse: immediately heals you and nearby party members, removes one weakening effect and continues restoring HP over time.
- 보호진 — attack-triggered protection: successful attacks build stacks; reaching ten grants a party shield. This makes attacking part of the protection mechanism, rather than treating support as idle buff maintenance.
- 차단의 권능 — protective Stigma: creates shields against incoming attacks for you and nearby party members during its effect. Its protection scales with maximum HP.
Which effects overlap with Cleric?
불패의 진언 does not stack with Cleric’s 보호의 빛: the higher-level effect wins, with Chanter taking priority at equal levels. Separately, the resistance reduction from Chanter’s 대지의 약속 does not apply alongside Cleric’s 고통의 연쇄. Do not add both resistance reductions together when planning party damage.
What should you check before copying a build?
The passive 생명의 축복 increases maximum HP and gives healing amplification based on attack power. Some attacks also require a prior action or target state: 파동격 requires a stunned target, while 진동쇄 follows an emergency evasion. Check those conditions against your encounter before assuming every skill in a rotation is always available.
These descriptions establish healing and shielding tools, not that Chanter can replace a dedicated healer in every dungeon. Match the service, patch, skill levels and party requirements before following a Daevanion build. See Cleric’s healing and cleanse options for the corresponding mechanics.

Official update context
NC’s March class-overhaul update names Barrier Spell as a new Stigma skill for Chanter. The announcement does not publish a class tier ranking or a full skill guide.
Support participation or dedicated healing focus?
Start with this class if…
Chanter’s mantra identity is worth exploring if you want support to be part of an active combat role. Watch how the presentation combines actions rather than assuming a passive buff provider. The official overview does not establish permanent buff uptime or an optimal support rotation.
Compare the alternative
Cleric is the direct comparison when healing is the primary responsibility you want. Decide which role interests you before consulting a tier list, and verify the group’s needs rather than treating two support identities as interchangeable.

Why Chanter may suit you
Choose it if…
Choose Chanter if active support sounds appealing: using buffs, spells, tools, healing, and damage to make the group stronger before problems start.
Keep in mind…
The video frames this as a hands-on support identity, not a passive back-line role or a simple damage fantasy.
